Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is likely to travel to China on an official visit during the first week of November.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing held a symposium on the floods in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Ambassador Moinul Haque said, “Delighted to host representatives of multilateral organizations, Chinese think tanks, and academia at the embassy.”
According to a statement, the event in Beijing was attended by representatives from international organizations, a Chinese think institution, NGOs, the Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD), and the Pakistani community.
Moin informed the audience during his speech on the scope and characteristics of the recent and severe floods in Pakistan.
He thanked the international community, including China and the UN, for their assistance and emphasized the importance of international cooperation and proactive climate action in order to reduce the effects of climate change.
He urged wealthy nations to assist climate change-affected underdeveloped nations. He hoped that the international community will continue to support Pakistan during the era of recovery and rebuilding.
