Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman claimed that the Supreme Court had become “divided” due to the “biased attitude” of the Chief Justice and other two honorable judges in the case being heard regarding the postponement of the Punjab polls.

Speaking to the media after government’s huddle, he said that certain justices “clearly want to give relief to Imran Khan and want the position of his party to be ‘vindicated’ at all costs.”

The PDM leader said that the Chief Justice and his “two associates” ought to recuse themselves from this matter for moral reasons.

He said, “The chief justice is telling us that this issue should be settled by consensus, but he has split the honorable court.”

He also said that he would not engage in discussions with Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, who he described as a “criminal brought into power through rigging.”

Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman participated in the joint meeting of the coalition parties of the government.
