ACE initiates probe against Muzaffargarh land record centre official

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) of Dera Ghazi Circle has launched an investigation into suspected corruption and abuse of power by an official at the Muzaffargarh Land Record Centre. Sources reveal that the official in question, identified as Athar, who has been in his post for an extended period, is allegedly involved in the illicit transfer of 28 kanals of land in Mauza Kothela, belonging to Bahadur Chadhrar, to individuals named Umair and Zubair through an unauthorized mutation (inteqla) numbered 1549.

The ACE has been informed of this unlawful transfer and has initiated a thorough investigation into the matter. Simultaneously, reports indicate that Athar, the accused official, is allegedly issuing threats to the landowner, warning of dire consequences if they proceed with the ACE case. It has come to light that the mauza patwari has also intervened in the situation, reporting the illegal land transfer to higher authorities.

Bahadur, the complainant, asserts that this isn’t the first time Athar has been involved in such activities. Previously, the same official had reportedly unlawfully transferred 52 kanals of their land in Mauza Bait Jhok to another party, and the case is still ongoing. The ACE investigation aims to uncover the truth behind these allegations and ensure accountability for any wrongdoing.
