Ahmedpur East celebrates local Journalistic talent

    In a special training session organized by the local daily and Ahmedpur Union of Journalists Ahmedpur Sharqiya, former Director of Public Relations Nazir Khalid emphasized the importance of safety measures in journalism, calling it a sacred profession.

    Addressing the gathering in a local hotel, Khalid highlighted the need for journalists to prioritize safety, especially when undertaking dangerous assignments. He commended the talent present in Ahmed Sharqia and specifically mentioned Haseena Mumtaz, a notable figure known for her literary contributions and love for Ramadan.

    The session delved into literary, cultural, and journalistic aspects, with discussions ranging from the significance of collective reporting to the achievements of local talents. Zafar Khan Lashari, recognized as the first novelist of Parwana Mastana and a key figure in Siraiki literature, was acknowledged as a hero of the land.

    Nazir Khalid also shared his admiration for the diverse talent in Ahmedpur Sharqia, citing figures like Naqvi Ahmadpuri, Safirlashari, Khuram Bahawalpuri, Saraiki singers, and poets. The audience had the opportunity to engage with Khalid, posing questions and participating in discussions on the intricacies of the journalistic profession.

    Senior Journalist Ehsan Ahmed Sahar, representing Ahmedpur Union of Journalists Ahmedpur Sharqia, emphasized the importance of positive journalism. He called on journalists to work responsibly and professionally, contributing to the promotion of a positive narrative.

    Highlighting the significance of unity among journalists, Sahar described Ahmedpur Union of Journalists as a platform fostering unity and providing essential journalistic training. The event saw the participation of prominent figures, including Syed Sarfaraz Hussain Zaidi, Muhammad Sulaiman Farooqi, Shabbir Ahmed Qureshi, Hameedullah Khan Aziz, Muhammad Yusuf Ghani Qureshi, Khalilur Rehman Khokhar, Dost Muhammad Qureshi, Arham Saleem Qadri, Muhammad Irfan Kamboh, Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad, Imtiaz Hydari, and Mohammad Imran Lad.
