Paris: Elon Musk, the owner of companies like Tesla and SpaceX has said that in the future, artificial intelligence (AI) will take away all our jobs.
Speaking at a conference in Paris via an online address, Elon Musk stated that it is possible we might all lose our jobs. However, in his opinion, losing jobs is not necessarily a bad thing. Musk presented a vision of a future where working would be optional.
He said that if you want to work as a hobby, you can but otherwise, AI and robots will do all the work for us. In such a situation, the world would need a universal high-income model although Musk did not provide details on how this would work.
Elon Musk has long expressed concerns about AI technology and during this event, he also mentioned that AI is his biggest fear.
He said that when everyone is away from jobs then what will be the purpose of our lives? In his opinion, even at that time, humans will have some role and this way, we can make AI technology meaningful.
