An airstrike on Iranian trucks carrying fuel to Lebanon on Tuesday killed at least 15 people on the Syria-Iraq border.

As per the Associated Press report, at least 15 trucks were hit by an airstrike while crossing the border.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that among the dead most are from Pro-Iranian Militias.

Syrian opposition media claimed that the attack hit trucks carrying weapons whereas, the IRGC-aligned Sabereen News claimed that the targets were oil tankers moving from Iran to Lebanon.

Although the identity of the attacker and the truck convoy is unknown still officials said that Iranians were among the victims of the attack.

Initial reports stated that the U.S. carried out the attack after the convoy entered Syria.

However, a senior U.S. official denied any involvement in the action.

Meanwhile, the pro-Hezbollah Al Mayadeen accused Israel of the drone strike.
