Alia Bhatt lashes out at paparazzi for ‘privacy breach’

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has blasted the paparazzi for breaching her privacy after being the subject of covert images shot from a nearby building.

The ETimes Instagram account posted the two side-by-side images of Alia from the neighboring building.

Bhatt reposted the post on her Instagram story calling out paparazzi, “Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my living room when I felt something watching me. I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighboring building with a camera right at me.”

Alia further wrote that in what world is this acceptable and allowed?

“Someone’s privacy has been egregiously violated by this. It’s reasonable to say that today, all lines were crossed because there are some things you just can’t do,” the Bollywood superstar said.

She also urged the Mumbai Police to take an action.

Shaheen Bhatt, the sister of the Gangubai Kathiawadi actor, also posted on her Instagram stories to inquire if it was okay for individuals to use zoom lenses to view homes while hiding in surrounding structures for content.

“There is no excuse for this completely horrible breach of privacy,” filmmaker Karan Johar said while supporting the actress.

He further emphasized that everyone in the entertainment business, constantly supports the media and the paparazzi and was amenable to them, but there should be a limit.

Alia will next be seen in the movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside actors like Ranveer Singh, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra.

As per reports, she is also preparing for her Hollywood debut in the film Heart of Stone, which stars Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot.
