Alleged rigging in polls: ECP to release inquiry report

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will unveil the inquiry findings into alleged electoral rigging in the general elections, chaired by Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chattha. After extensive examination, the report will be presented in an ECP meeting before public release, with strict adherence to its recommendations.

Led by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani, a one-member committee conducted the investigation, incorporating statements from District Returning Officers (DROs) and Returning Officers (ROs), along with a written submission from Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Chattha.

Notably, former Commissioner Liaquat Ali resigned, citing significant irregularities in the elections, a claim refuted vehemently by the ECP spokesperson and Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.
