Army officer accused of striking Pro-Palestine protesters in Islamabad

This week in Islamabad, a tragic event occurred when a car struck and killed two pro-Palestine demonstrators.

The driver, identified as an army officer, was apprehended by the police and handed over to military authorities.

The incident took place at the D-Chowk area where the protesters had been gathering for several days.

Despite the condemnation of the incident, the protesters remain committed to their cause, urging the Pakistani government to take stronger action in support of Palestine.

While Pakistan doesn’t recognize Israel and has raised the issue of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at the UN, some demonstrators criticized the government’s failure to provide adequate security in the highly guarded Red Zone area of Islamabad.
