The Pakistan-India one-day encounter in the Super Four round of the Asia Cup on Sunday may disappoint fans once more due to rain, according to numerous meteorological forecasts.
On September 2, rain postponed the much-awaited Pakistan-India match at the Pallekele Stadium in Sri Lanka, leading to an anticlimactic conclusion as the Green Shirts were left waiting for their opportunity to bat.
In the 49th over, the Indian team was dismissed for 266 runs by Pakistan’s elite pace bowling performance.
The match is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. (PST), however, AccuWeather, the weather forecaster, predicted adverse weather in Colombo.
AccuWeather said that there would be some sun during the day and that it would then become “cloudy with a few thunderstorms, especially late in the day.”
It indicated a 90% likelihood of precipitation and a 54% likelihood of daytime thunderstorms.
Since there will be “showers and thunderstorms” during the night, the temperature will drop by 5 degrees.
According to the forecast, there was a 96 percent likelihood of rain and a 58 percent chance of thunderstorms at night.
It also called for more than three separate spells of rain, with patches of moderate rain and thunder throughout the day.
Rain had a 93 percent chance of falling during the day and a 97 percent chance of falling at night, according to Weather.com.
The forecast only called for temperature changes between 25 and 29 degrees Celsius throughout the day, with thunderstorms.
