According to media reports, Superintendent of Police Rajat Siklich stated that crackdowns were conducted against unlawful activities related to cattle.
He mentioned that a large number of cows were slaughtered for sacrificial purposes in the Neenoor village, with approximately 150 cows housed in homes and beef found in refrigerators during raids.
Authorities also discovered hides and bones of cattle during the raids.
On the other hand, officials clarified that the 11 demolished homes were built on government land and were allegedly involved in smuggling beef.

It is notable that the extremist Modi government has imposed restrictions on Muslims during holy months for sacrificing cows, with offenders facing up to 7 years in prison for slaughtering.
