Azhar Ali fails to give a legendary ending to his test career

Pakistani cricketer Azhar Ali failed to give a legendary ending to his test career as he got knocked over by Leach’s spin ball.

Azhar’s 12-year Test career came to an end as he left the field with his stumps broken.

The Pakistani players lifted their bats at the boundary for a formal guard of honour as Azhar went back to the changing rooms, and the England players applauded.

Jack Leach also succeeded in sending Pakistan’s top three batters back to the pavilion at 54.

With Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood appearing poised to erase England’s 50-run advantage without losing a wicket, Pakistan began the fourth day on almost even terms.

But Leach dismissed Shan for 24 after he attempted an absurd reverse sweep, and four balls later, he took Azhar’s wicket.

Shafique also got lbw by jack leach as he misjudged the delivery.

The English attack was repelled as Captain Babar Azam scored 38 and Saud Shakeel made 46 runs and led their side for the remainder of the first session which made Pakistan stand at 146-3.

England prevailed in a hard-fought second Test in Multan by 26 runs after winning the opening Test in Rawalpindi by 74 runs.
