Bahawalpur plaza fire burns more than 40 shops

A blaze broke out at a plaza in Bahawalpur, Punjab, resulting in the destruction of over 40 shops.

The fire, attributed to a ‘short circuit,’ originated at a plaza situated on Circular Road Bahawalpur. Subsequently, shops on the ground and first floors of the plaza were completely engulfed, while others sustained partial damage.

After hours of effort, the fire brigade successfully extinguished the flames, with the cooling process currently underway. Traders incurred significant financial losses amounting to millions of rupees due to the incident.

In a similar incident on December 26, rescue teams battled and eventually controlled a fire that erupted in Karachi’s Saddar mobile market. The blaze impacted more than 100 shops in Saddar Shah Jahan mobile market, resulting in considerable financial losses for the traders.
