Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter drops “Pitt” from last name, Signaling Strained Relationship

Vivienne, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has reportedly removed “Pitt” from her last name, a move seen as a significant blow to her relationship with her father.

Listed as Vivienne Jolie instead of Vivienne Jolie-Pitt in the Playbill for The Outsiders, Vivienne is said to have assisted her mother in producing the musical.

This decision follows her elder sister Zahara, who adopted the name Zahara Marley Jolie at her university sorority last year.

The change underscores the ongoing strain in Pitt’s relationship with his children since Jolie filed for divorce and sole physical custody in 2016.

PEOPLE reported in 2022 that Pitt, 60, was committed to repairing his bond with his children during the custody battle.

However, allegations surfaced that Jolie was influencing the children to “avoid” their father during visits, further complicating their relationship.

Currently, Pitt and Jolie are embroiled in a legal dispute over their French winery, Château Miraval.

Pitt filed a lawsuit against Jolie for selling her share to a third party, while she countersued, alleging physical and verbal abuse during a family flight in 2016.

The couple shares six children: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15.
