Pakistan Television Network (PTV) turned 57 on November 26, and celebrations from its stations in various cities have started surfacing.
On Facebook, senior director, and producer Khawaja Najam ul Hassan had shared photos from Rawalpindi and Islamabad, with popular television stars such as Tauseeq Haider and Mishi Khan, along with multiple other influential people working in the management board of PTV.
Apart from him, Asimyar Tiwana, a popular PTV host who is known for moderating the show Celebrity Lounge for many years now, was observed inviting the most influential of PTV’s actors and singers from its golden era. These included Ghazala Kaifi, Huma Nawab, Shabana Benjamin, Nauman Ejaaz, Mahnoor Baloch and Bushra Ansari, all of whom gathered at PTV’s studio to revisit the channel’s days of glory and unparalleled success.
Other greats like Shagufta Ejaz, Jawed Sheikh and Shahood Alvi made it to Shaista Lodhi’s morning show on November 27, while Sundas Jameel entertained the likes of Qavi Khan, Noor-ul-Hassan, Sarmad Sehbai, Firdous Jamal, Asma Abbas and Iftikhar Thakur.
The channel itself aired classical songs in celebration of its 57th anniversary, such as those of Nazia Hassan, Madam Noor Jahan, Tahira Sayyed and countless others, all of whom grew popular through PTV.
