CM Gandapur meets Mohsin Naqvi to discuss KP situation

During the meeting, officials discussed the current situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a particular focus on load shedding and electricity issues.

Federal Ministers and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister agreed to work together to address these problems. They decided to schedule another meeting for further discussions tomorrow.

Yesterday, the Chief Minister attended the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) meeting in Islamabad. Speaking to journalists after the meeting, he stated that he had presented Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s demands, urging the federal government to clear its dues to the province.

The Chief Minister emphasized that his government would not compromise on provincial rights and would not allow anyone to take “undue advantage.”

In the apex committee’s meeting, CM Ali Amin Gandapur opposed the imposition of taxes on the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA). He also mentioned that the deadline for electricity dues was discussed.

It is worth noting that on March 13, CM Gandapur held his first meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of the rival Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Later, PTI’s Asad Qaiser advised CM Gandapur to cut ties with the Centre, stating that it is time for “resistance, not reconciliation.”
