Did IPL really copy PSL’s idea?

Even though the India Premier League is one of the best T20 leagues in the world, they appear to have copied the technology used in the Pakistan Super League inaugural ritual.

Friday’s ceremony was followed by a game between the Gujrat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, the reigning winners, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

Arijit Singh, the best singer in India, and the actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna performed at the IPL’s 16th season opening ceremony.

However, a drone-assisted light display that was meant to be the show-stopper has led some Twitter users to believe that it was a parody of PSL season 8.

They made fun of the IPL for allegedly stealing the PSL’s move to display its championship prize in Multan earlier this year.

One of the users tweeted that IPL had copied the idea of showing their trophy from PSL. He stated that the BCCI robbed the creation of PCB. He also tweeted that the Pakistan Super League had become a world wide brand now.
