Dr. Asif Hussain has stepped down as Secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). His replacement is Omar Hameed Khan, who has returned to the role.
The ECP has accepted Dr. Hussain’s resignation and announced Omar Hameed Khan’s new appointment.
Earlier, on January 5, Omar Hameed Khan had resigned because of health issues.
Similarly, Dr. Asif Hussain’s resignation was also due to health concerns.
