Efforts afoot to operationalise Punjab’s first cancer hospital, says CM Maryam

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed her approval of the Field Hospitals and Clinic on Wheels project.

In a statement released on Sunday, the chief minister revealed that steps were being taken to launch the province’s inaugural government-operated cancer hospital.

Additionally, plans were unveiled to initiate projects aimed at establishing comprehensive cardiology blocks in each district.

Maryam highlighted the benefits of healthcare reforms and emphasized a heightened commitment to serving the population, especially in areas with deficient healthcare infrastructure.

She emphasized that these efforts included providing state-of-the-art facilities and ongoing improvements to health centers and hospitals throughout the province.

Maryam elaborated that the Field Hospitals and Clinic on Wheels project was actively monitoring services to treat numerous patients.

While emphasizing the importance of every sector, the chief minister particularly stressed the need for enhancing healthcare facilities across Punjab.
