Faisal Mosque offers Aitkaf setup in Ramdan

The month of Ramadan offers unique opportunities for worship, including the practice of aitkaf, where worshippers devote themselves to Allah during the last 10 days of Ramadan.

Islamabad’s renowned Faisal Mosque facilitates aitkaf during Ramadan, with the administration announcing the program for 2024.

This year, the mosque will accommodate 300 individuals for aitkaf on a first-come-first-serve basis, with applications accepted until the 10th day of Ramadan.

Interested individuals can obtain application forms from the mosque’s Islamic Centre, with a non-refundable fee of Rs5,000 payable via bank draft.

Applicants must submit a copy of their national identity card and two passport-sized photos.

The maximum age limit for aitkaf is 60 years.

Accepted applicants must arrive at the mosque before iftar on the 20th day of Ramadan and are responsible for arranging their own sehri and iftar.

While the fee has increased from Rs3,000 last year, the administration provides books, a copy of the Quran, and organizes lectures for participants during aitkaf.
