Father murders son in Peshawar for hoisting PTI flag

In an unfortunate development, a father in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reportedly murdered his son after he refused to take down PTI’s flag from their home ahead of the February 8 national election.

The conflict developed when the son, who had just returned from working in Qatar, erected Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party’s flag at their home on the outskirts of Peshawar. The father, an Awami National Party member, objected to the display of the PTI flag, resulting in a violent altercation.

In a moment of rage, the father allegedly shot his 31-year-old son with a handgun before leaving the home. The son died on the way to the hospital, succumbing to his injuries.

The police are presently searching for the father, who is reportedly an ANP supporter and opposed PTI.
