Fawad Chaudhry draws parallels between Imran Khan and Shehbaz Sharif

Fawad Chaudhry, former PTI member, drew comparisons between imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, suggesting that if Khan made a deal with the establishment, he would resemble Sharif.

Speaking outside the Lahore High Court (LHC), Fawad expressed doubt that Khan, ousted from power in April 2022, would engage in such a deal.

“If Imran Khan strikes a deal, he will become Shehbaz Sharif,” remarked the former federal minister, noting that the current threat to Prime Minister Shehbaz comes not from within his own party but from those who facilitated his rise to power and external forces.

In the meantime, the LHC granted Fawad’s legal representatives an opportunity to aid the court in determining whether cases from an anti-terrorism court could be transferred to the district courts’ e-court for virtual attendance.
