Fire erupts at old passport office in Karachi

A fire broke out in the old Passport Office building in Karachi, resulting in the destruction of its records.

The incident occurred at the old Passport Office situated behind the old Post Office in Saddar. Upon receiving the information, fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames after an hour-long effort, utilizing five vehicles and a snorkel.

Officials from the Fire Brigade revealed that the fire caused extensive damage, burning all the records stored in the office’s record room. Additionally, an old car parked nearby also caught fire.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations will be conducted once the cooling process is completed, according to Fire Brigade authorities.
