With the news of bans being lifted from Pakistan’s cinema-halls, a lot of film releases seem to be around the corner.
On October 7, a young writer from Karachi announced his first project for the big screen while sharing the posters of his film called ‘Peechay Tou Dekho’. A project of Eveready Pictures and ScreenShots Productions headed by Syed Atif Ali, the film stars Yasir Hussain, Nawal Sayeed, Aamir Qureshi, Aadi Adeel and Waqar Hussain along with many others.
Muhammad Yasir, the film’s writer tells that ‘Peechay Tou Dekho’ amalgamates the genres of comedy and horror, thereby making it a piece carrying all the elements that are required for entertaining the viewers.
The posters of ‘Peechay Tou Dekho’ have been designed quite creatively, exuding a colourful aura as well as a mysterious one, the latter reflected through the usage of long mirrors, dense foliage and witchy hands in the posters’ backgrounds.
The exact date of the film’s release hasn’t been announced yet but the unveiling of the first look tells that it is going to be screened soon. In these times of socio-political crisis, a comic-horror film like ‘Peechay Tou Dekho’ will hopefully help the viewers find escapism for a few hours.
