Fog disruptions hit Pakistani airports with flight diversions and delays

Dense fog cast a shadow over both international and domestic flight operations in Pakistan, causing widespread disruptions and delays.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) reported a series of diversions, cancellations, and delays, affecting the plans of countless passengers.

The challenging weather conditions prompted a cascade of issues, with the SIF-743 flight from Dammam to Lahore being diverted to Karachi and various others experiencing significant wait times and cancellations.

Visibility dropped to a mere 100 meters at Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport, intensifying operational challenges. International flights, including those from Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, Air Arabia, and Fly Jinnah, faced delays, creating a domino effect of disruptions in Peshawar.

As passengers grapple with rearranged travel plans, the aviation authorities are working diligently to restore normalcy amid the ongoing fog-related turmoil, underscoring the importance of staying informed and checking for updates before embarking on journeys.

Despite the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerges with the forecast predicting an anticipated increase in visibility, providing a beacon for affected travelers.
