Forces should always be ready against any misadventure by enemy: COAS

On Saturday, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir visited troops participating in a field exercise near Rahim Yar Khan, as announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the visit, General Munir was briefed on exercise ‘Shamsheer-e-Sehra’. He observed integrated fire and battle maneuvers involving various elements such as Armour, Infantry, Mechanized Infantry, Artillery, Air Defence, and Anti-Tank Guided Missiles. Pakistan Air Force aircraft also took part in the exercise.

The COAS spent the entire day with the troops, interacting with them and commending their training standards, operational readiness, and high morale. He stressed the importance of remaining prepared against any potential enemy actions.

The exercise aimed to enhance professional skills and battlefield procedures necessary to address future challenges in operational environments. It also included Electronic Warfare capabilities and Information Operations to counter enemy communications and disinformation campaigns during wartime.

General Munir reaffirmed Pakistan Armed Forces’ readiness to defend the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty against all threats, with the full support of the nation.

Upon arrival at the field area, the COAS was welcomed by the Corps Commander Karachi and the Inspector General Training and Evaluation.
