‘Harry Potter’ actor Tom Felton to star in Indian web series ‘Gandhi’

Hollywood actor Tom Felton, renowned for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series, has been cast by Indian filmmaker Hansal Mehta for his upcoming web series ‘Gandhi’.

Felton, known for his role in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, joins the ensemble cast of Mehta’s highly anticipated web series ‘Gandhi’, which features seasoned Gujarati actor Pratik Gandhi in the lead role.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Felton stated, “I’m excited to be part of the journey of telling the story of Gandhi’s early years in London.

In addition to Felton, the series also introduces actors Libby Mai, Molly Wright, Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, Lindon Alexander, Jonno Davies, and Simon Lennon to the cast.

Director Hansal Mehta, known for projects like ‘Scam 1992’, expressed his excitement about directing this stellar international cast as they continue with the shoot.

Pratik Gandhi, renowned for his performance in ‘Scam 1992’, will portray the titular role of Mahatma Gandhi in the series, while his real-life wife, actor Bhamini Oza, will play Kasturba Gandhi.

Based on author Ramachandra Guha’s books ‘Gandhi Before India’ and ‘Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World’, the project is produced by Applause Entertainment.
