Asim Azhar attended a literary festival hosted at the Institute of Public and Business Administration (IBA) and faced heckling from some members of the audience while conversing with Yasir Hussain. The crowd started taunting the singer by chanting the name of Hania Amir, an actress he had previously dated.
In a widely circulated video clip, Asim can be observed quelling derogatory chants with a retort, asking, “IBA hai ya pagal khana?” (Is this IBA or a madhouse?).
Yasir also rebuked the hecklers, urging them to behave in a more educated manner.
It’s important to commend Asim for standing up against the harassment from hecklers.
It’s evident that no one should be subjected to such disrespectful taunts about their personal life, especially in an institution recognized as one of Pakistan’s premier universities.
