Identical Georgia twins separated at birth reunited years later via Tiktok

In a shocking turn of events, identical twins Amy Khvitia and Ano Sartania, who were separated at birth, were reunited via a widely shared TikTok video.

According to reports, Amy initially saw someone who looked like her while watching “Georgia’s Got Talent. She asked her mother about it, who was perplexed, and unable to answer her.

Later on, Amy shared a TikTok video of herself in 2021, seven years later, which was seen by 19-year-old Ano in Tbilisi. Owning to curiosity, Ano attempted to track Amy, and both girls realized soon enough that they were twin sisters and not just doppelgangers.

The twins later discovered that, following their birth in 2002, their mother had fallen into a coma, and that her husband had sold the twins to separate families.

The story of Amy and Ano highlights the terrible reality of baby trafficking in Georgia, even in the face of stricter regulations meant to prevent unapproved adoptions.
