Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed praised Pakistan’s white-ball captain Babar Azam as the “best batter” globally during a media interaction in Lahore on Saturday.
Expressing his aspirations, Ahmed stated his team’s aim to secure victory in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
“Our focus is not solely on defeating India or Canada, but rather on winning the World Cup,” he asserted.
Ahmed emphasized the team’s determination to claim the World Cup title, stating, “We have no excuses for not winning the World Cup. Our team possesses the capability to lift the trophy.”
He lauded Babar’s batting skills, noting, “Babar understands his role and performs accordingly.”
