IGP Anwar commends Police triumph over terrorists’ infiltration bid into Punjab

The Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, Usman Anwar, proudly announced the foiling of a daring attempt by terrorists to infiltrate the province from Dera Ghazi Khan.

In a compelling video message, IGP Anwar detailed how these terrorists targeted a border post at Jhangi, DG Khan, under the cover of darkness. Displaying unwavering resolve, police jawans swiftly responded with intense gunfire, compelling the assailants to retreat.

IGP Anwar emphatically declared that Punjab would not succumb to the menace of terrorism, underscoring the commitment to safeguarding the province at any cost.

The daring attempt involved 8-10 terrorists seeking entry into Punjab under the veil of night. However, the vigilant police jawans, equipped with state-of-the-art thermal image cameras, skillfully traced the infiltrators, preventing a potentially catastrophic event.

The timely and resolute action not only thwarted the terrorists’ sinister plot but also forced them to abandon their mission.

IGP Anwar highlighted the commendable efforts of the police force, emphasizing their high morale and readiness to eliminate any threats posed by terrorists.

Additionally, he acknowledged the swift response of a team led by the Vohwa SHO, providing crucial backup during this critical operation.
