IHC allows PTI to hold rally in Islamabad

Islamabad High Court has directed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to be allowed to hold a gathering in Islamabad.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court issued instructions to the federal capital’s district administration.

The court has directed the Islamabad administration to fulfill the conditions they have imposed.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court stated that no one’s right to assembly can be taken away, gatherings have been held, and the administration should set rules, regulations, and conditions.

PTI’s lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat Advocate stated, “We want to hold a gathering in Islamabad on April 6.”

Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court instructed PTI’s lawyer to ensure that there is no disturbance.

The State Council informed the court that permission for the gathering was not granted due to security concerns, and previous permissions had been violated.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court said to implement normal conditions without any hindrance, extraordinary conditions should not be imposed, permissions should be granted according to standard operating procedures, previous Chief Justices have also granted permissions, I have also ordered.

The government lawyer said that a terrorist incident occurred yesterday as well.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court said, “Life doesn’t stop, it goes on, we have to eradicate terrorism.”

The government lawyer requested time to receive instructions.
