Bhojpuri actor Amrita Pandey was tragically discovered deceased at her residence in Bhagalpur, Bihar, following a distressing WhatsApp status update.
The news, reported by Indian media outlets, revealed that Pandey, known for her roles in Bhojpuri cinema and TV, was found dead on April 27.
Authorities suspect suicide, as she had posted a cryptic message on her WhatsApp status just hours before her passing.
The note hinted at struggles with life’s dualities, suggesting inner turmoil.
No additional suicide note was found at the scene. According to her family, Pandey, who resided in Mumbai with her husband, an animation engineer, was grappling with professional stress due to a lack of acting opportunities.
After attending her sister’s wedding in Bhagalpur, she remained in the city while her husband returned to Mumbai.
Pandey had notably worked alongside Bhojpuri cinema star Khesari Lal Yadav in the 2018 film ‘Deewanapan’ and had roles in Hindi movies, TV shows, and web series.
