Indian-origin British coach joins Pakistan’s football team

Trishan Patel, a British football coach with Indian heritage, has officially become part of the Pakistan football team as an Assistant Coach and Performance Analyst.

Patel joined the team’s training camp in Islamabad as they prepare for their remaining FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan.

Having previously worked remotely with the team, Patel brings a wealth of experience from his extensive coaching background.

He has served various organizations, clubs, and schools across England, including notable names like Liverpool and Luton Town.

The Pakistan Football Federation introduced Patel’s arrival through their social media platforms, showcasing him in the national team’s attire.

Beginning his football coaching journey in 2006 as a scouting coach, Patel later joined Premier League side Luton Town as a Community Coach in 2009, where he remained until 2015.

Possessing a UEFA A license, Patel took on the role of assistant manager at Biggleswade United in 2019.

Additionally, he has contributed as an international academy coach with Liverpool and has been associated with Berkhamsted as well.

Pakistan is gearing up to face regional powerhouse Saudi Arabia in their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier match in Islamabad on June 6, followed by a trip to Tajikistan for their final fixture.
