Investigation unravels mystery behind session judge’s abduction in Tank

A shocking incident of the abduction of a session judge has shaken the region of Tank, prompting authorities to take swift action.

A special committee comprising officials from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), police, and other law enforcement agencies has been formed to investigate the case thoroughly. The committee is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to recover the abducted judge, deploying extensive search operations and scrutinizing CCTV footage along the route from the crime scene.

Despite these efforts, the whereabouts of the judge remain unknown, adding to the urgency of the investigation.

The abduction took place on April 27 when Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat, stationed in South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was forcibly taken while en route from Tank to Dera Ismail Khan. Armed assailants intercepted the judge’s vehicle on Dera Road Bhagwal, leaving the driver behind as they whisked away the judge.

Despite immediate police response and cordoning off the area, the perpetrators managed to evade capture, leaving authorities grappling with the challenge of securing the judge’s safe return.

In response to the alarming situation, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Abid Majeed, assured that all available resources are being mobilized to locate and rescue the abducted judge.
