Raisi’s administration put pressure on celebrities and journalists that showed their support for the demonstrations sparked by the outrage of the public on Mahsa Amini’s death.

According to the ISNA news agency, Tehran provincial governor Mohsen Mansouri said “We will take action against the celebrities who have fanned the flames of the riots.”

As per the guardian report, Iran judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei also stated that “those who became famous thanks to supporting from the system have joined the enemy when times are difficult.”
The warning came after 2 weeks of ruthless and deadliest protest and crackdown in Iran. Whereas, as per a Reuters report, now almost 83 people have lost their lives in protests happening all over Iran.

“At least 83 people, including children, have been confirmed killed in (the) #IranProtests,” Iran Human Rights, a Norwegian-based organization, said on Twitter.

Iranian women are leading these anti-regime protests, with anti-regime slogans such as “Woman, Life, and Freedom!” And “death to the dictator,” and so on. Even the international community is rallying behind protesters. Kabul and other neighboring Iranian states are also raising voices against brutal killing of Mahsa Amini.
