According to the details, the election process of general elections 2024 for two national and four provincial assembly seats of District Lodhran has officially started. The Returning Officers issued a public notice for receipt of nomination papers.
On behalf of IPP chief Jahangir Tareen, his legal team also received nomination papers for NA 155 pp 227 and 228 for Jahangir Tareen. Jahangir Tareen’s covering candidate will be his son Ali Tareen. The nomination papers of the three constituencies have also been received for Ali Tareen.
Jahangir Tareen, Spokesperson for Istehkam e Pakistan Party, will submit nomination papers on December 21 or 22. According to District Election Commissioner Muhammad Adnan Khan, a total of 16 candidates, including Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen, have received nomination papers on the day of public notice.
Candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers from December 20 to 22. From December 24 to 30, the returning officers will scrutinize the nomination papers and on January 3, 2024, appeals will be heard on acceptance and rejection of the papers.
Election Commission 11 January 2024 will be the last day for the decisions of the Appellate Authority on appeals and the revised list of candidates will be released on 15 January 2024.
