Kajol, Prabhu Deva to reunite on screen after 27 years

Seasoned Bollywood actor Kajol is set to share the screen with actor-choreographer Prabhu Deva, 27 years after their initial collaboration.

According to an Indian entertainment outlet, Kajol and Prabhu Deva will star in a high-budget action thriller directed by South Indian filmmaker Charan Tej Uppalapati, who is making his Bollywood debut with this film.

The cast also includes Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sengupta, and Aditya Seal in key roles, marking Kajol’s first collaboration with Naseeruddin Shah, known for ‘A Wednesday’.

The first shooting schedule is reportedly complete, and the teaser for the film will be released soon.

The film features ‘Jawan’ cinematographer GK Vishnu, ‘Pushpa 2’ editor Navin Nooli, and Harshavardhan Rameshwar, the music composer for Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’. Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana wrote the screenplay.

The makers are confident that the combination of a stellar cast and a top-notch technical crew will make the action thriller one of the most anticipated upcoming releases.

For those unfamiliar, Kajol and Prabhu Deva first co-starred in the 1997 Tamil film ‘Minsara Kanavu’, directed by Rajiv Menon and also featuring Arvind Swamy.
