Filmmaker Karan Johar criticized an Indian comedy show for mimicking him in what he called “very bad taste.”
He shared his disappointment on Instagram, saying he was not angry but saddened by the impersonation on a popular TV channel.
Without naming the show or the actor, Johar mentioned that someone imitated him poorly in a promo for a reality show while he was watching TV with his mom.
He expressed his sadness, saying that disrespect from within the industry, after being in it for over 25 years, was disheartening.
Social media users tried to guess the comedian responsible, but comedian Kettan Singh apologized for any hurt caused, stating that he was a fan of Johar’s work and meant only to entertain the audience with his impersonation.
