King Charles III returns to royal duties amid cancer battle

King Charles III has resumed his public duties as he bravely battles cancer.

The announcement, made on April 21, highlights the monarch’s resilience in the face of adversity and serves as a reminder that cancer affects people from all walks of life.

Both Charles and his wife, Kate, have been diagnosed with cancer, leading to a disruption in their royal engagements.

This has posed challenges for the royal family, as Prince William has also scaled back his public appearances to support his wife and children, leaving fewer senior royals available to fulfill official obligations.

In response, Camilla, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward have stepped up to take on more responsibilities in Charles’s absence.

Despite his estrangement from the royal fold, Prince Harry, along with his wife Meghan, is expected to make an appearance in London on May 8 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games for disabled military veterans before embarking on a visit to Nigeria.
