During a lengthy session at the Planning and Development Department, Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz received updates on plans to procure 300 electric buses for Lahore.
Additionally, the meeting discussed the deployment of 330 electric buses in various cities across Punjab.
There were also discussions on the feasibility of manufacturing electric buses locally.
Present at the meeting were Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, along with several other officials and ministers.
Notably, Maryam Nawaz Sharif had recently announced the imminent introduction of electric buses in Lahore during the inauguration of the Shahdara Metrobus Station remodeling project.
