LHC grants Fawad Chaudhry’s attendance exemption request, extends bail

Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry received a favorable ruling from the Lahore sessions court, which accepted his plea for a one-day exemption from attendance.

The court session, presided over by Additional Sessions Judge Nadeem Hasan Wasir, addressed Fawad Chaudhry’s interim bail extension.

Represented by his lawyer, Fawad Chaudhry cited his prior commitments in Islamabad courts as grounds for seeking a one-day exemption from attending the hearing.

Acknowledging the merit of the request, the court granted the waiver, thereby extending Fawad Chaudhry’s bail until May 14. This decision comes amidst a legal proceeding initiated by the race course police, who registered a case against Fawad Chaudhry.
