The 24-year-old social media influencer, who won a beauty pageant in Malaysia, was stripped of her crown after a dance video went viral.
Reports indicate that a brief video featuring the beauty queen, recorded in Thailand, surfaced online recently. In the video, 24-year-old Hasina Veronka Turnip is seen dancing with several men, participating in a dance challenge they presented.
Upon the video’s viral spread, the beauty pageant organizers took notice and requested Turnip to relinquish her crown, deeming her actions inappropriate. The organizers stated that while there is no issue with dancing and accepting challenges from men, such behavior is acceptable for ordinary women, but not for a responsible individual who holds a beauty pageant title.
Despite receiving support from many individuals, Turnip graciously returned the crown following criticism from the organizers. She expressed satisfaction with her performance but acknowledged regret for violating the rules set by the pageant organization. Therefore, she opted to return the crown.
