Malaysian monarchs capture hearts by reading news on TV

Kuala Lumpur: The King and Queen of Malaysia, Abdullah Pahang and Sultana won the admiration of the public by reading the news on national television.

As part of the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the state TV, the Malaysian monarchs took a tour of the news studio and presented news readings during the event.

For a duration of 10 minutes, the King and Queen delivered news stories of national and public interest. The Malaysian population appreciated this act of engagement by their monarchs.

It is worth noting that Sultan Abdullah took the oath as the 16th King of the country in January 2019. As the symbolic rulers of the central state of Pahang, they succeeded Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan who was the King of Malaysia before Sultan Abdullah assumed the position.
