Massive hike in gas tariff looms

A significant 41% increase in gas prices has been suggested by OGRA; it is expected to be implemented next month, subject to government approval.

This suggestion comes after an astonishing 400% increase over the previous 12 months, causing general economic anxiety.

Due to a recent tariff restructuring that went into effect in November, domestic consumers are divided into two groups based on how they use the tariff: protected and non-protected.

Those who use 91 cubic meters or more and are not protected will be the ones most affected by the increase, while those who use less will be protected.

This distinction highlights the disparate effects on households, which heightens worries about the impending cost increase.
