Moon not Sighted, Zilqad set to start from May 10 in Pakistan

The sighting of the moon marking the beginning of the month of Zilqad 1445 AH did not occur in Pakistan. Consequently, the month of Shawwal will conclude on Thursday, May 9, with the first day of Zilqad falling on Friday, May 10, throughout the country.

This declaration was issued by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, the authorized body responsible for moon sightings in Pakistan. Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired the meeting where this decision was made.

The announcement followed reports from various regions of the country indicating the absence of moon sightings.
