More than usual rain expected in September: Met Office

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that the southeastern regions of Sindh could expect more rain than usual in September.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Sindh is anticipated to have significant rainfall in September from at least two monsoon systems.

It is expected that Tharparkar, Umarkot, and Badin may have 20 to 30% more than usual rain.

According to the Met Office, heavy rains might make the situation in the flood-affected areas worse. Lower Sindh might see moderate to severe floods as a result of the rain.

The Met Office also predicted more than average rains in Lahore, Sialkot, and Narowal.

These cities are forecasted to receive 10 to 15 percent more rain than usual.
