Most wanted BLA suspect arrested from Lyari: DIG South

A significant terrorism suspect, associated with the banned BLA group, has been apprehended from Lyari, as stated by DIG South.

DIG Karachi-South, Asad Raza, revealed that the detained individual, known as Mairaj alias Mama, was involved in providing intelligence for the outlawed organization. “He was supplying information to Commander Jalal of the banned terrorist group,” explained the police official.

Based on information provided by Mairaj Mama, the banned group orchestrated attacks against security forces, DIG Asad Raza informed. “The suspect was linked to an incident in 2017, where a military vehicle en route from Turbat to Gwadar was targeted,” he added.

Additionally, the arrested individual was responsible for gathering intelligence on a military camp in Nasirabad, Balochistan. “Several personnel lost their lives in the resulting terrorist attack,” lamented DIG-South.

DIG Asad Raza further disclosed that four relatives of an intelligence officer were killed due to the information collected by the suspect. Moreover, Mairaj Mama was implicated in attacks on Gwadar airport and Pakistan Navy airport, along with involvement in an assault on military personnel in Nushki.
