Music therapy found more beneficial for elderly individuals

Moscow: Health experts in the United States have stated that music therapy is more beneficial for elderly individuals.

During a health survey conducted by the University of Moscow, it was found that among individuals aged 50 to 80 years 75% reported that music helps them alleviate mental stress while 65% stated that music improves their mental health or mood.

Additionally, 60% of respondents reported feeling energized by listening to music.

Furthermore, 41% emphasized the importance of music in their lives while 48% considered music to be moderately important in their lives.

Professor Joel Howell who collaborated with the survey team mentioned that music has the power to make life meaningful and enjoyable. He emphasized that music is ingrained in the fundamental fabric of human existence.

He further stated that music also has numerous positive effects on various health issues. Researchers are aware that music correlates with positive effects on actions taken for blood pressure and depression.

It is evident that music therapy holds significant promise in enhancing the well-being of elderly individuals and addressing various health issues.
