Netanyahu prepares army for ground incursion in Gaza despite UNSC resolution calling for ceasefire

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Tuesday that a ground incursion by Israeli forces would be necessary to eliminate Hamas in Rafah.

This statement followed a call from the White House to reconsider the strategy regarding the densely populated Gaza border city, where many Palestinians have been displaced.

During a briefing with lawmakers, Netanyahu emphasized that he had conveyed to U.S. President Joe Biden the determination to eradicate Hamas battalions in Rafah, asserting that ground intervention was the only viable approach.

Despite the passing of a UNSC resolution calling for a ceasefire, Netanyahu continues to attack starving Palestinians in the holy month of Ramadan.
